Anniversary Special: 4 Times Priyanka Chopra’s style game was on point in the past year

It has been a year since Priyanka Chopra tied the knot with Nick Jonas. It was a year where we saw the romance blossom at various media appearances and numerous interviews. However, at the same time, Priyanka Chopra’s style statements continue to surprise and leave an impressionable mark in the minds of budding fashionistas.

While she sure knows how to rock any western wear, but her elegant looks truly shine in her ethnic outfits. Hence, to give some major style goals, let us have a look back at Priyanka Chopra’s outfits that make her the true desi girl that she is.

Rocking a blouse-less saree:

When it comes to wearing a saree, nobody can ace it better than Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka Chopra’s style statement was always about raising the bar and she continued to do that with her cover shoot for the ‘InStyle’ magazine.

Wearing a shimmering saree without a blouse, the outfit felt like an eye-catching throwback to PC’s ‘Desi Girl’ look from the 2008 hit Dostana. With bare minimal makeup that matched her shiny skin, she had bold lips with filled-in brows. Her wavy hairstyle acted as a finishing touch to her oomph look.

Going mellow in yellow for her Roka ceremony:

Being a true Indian at heart, she chose to wear a lemon yellow Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sherwani kurta for her Roka ceremony. The yellow kurta with flare pants added ‘chaar chand’ to Priyanka Chopra’s style quotient on the day.

Featuring sequenced and gota work flowing all over, the outfit gave her the needed shine on her big day. With a pair of shimmery jutis and hair styled in a mid-part way, she also wore a tiny bindi to complete her look.

A colourful affair for her mehendi ceremony:

When it comes to the grand wedding that PC and Nick Jonas had in India, she decided to keep her looks as ethnic as ever. For her mehendi ceremony, PC opted for a multi-coloured Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla gown. In terms of accessories, Priyanka had her hair tied in a loose bun with flowers were attached to it. A maang tika hung over the hairdo gracefully, making for a dazzling look. Danglers and a neckpiece further enhanced Priyanka Chopra’s style quotient for the colourful sangeet.

Dazzling in pink as a Jonas bahu:

Now this Jonas bahu had another grand wedding to attend after hers. It was Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s turn to get married in France. For this, Priyanka Chopra’s style was managed by designer Sabyasachi. She was seen flaunting her hourglass figure in a powder pink transparent embroidered saree by Sabyasachi.

This sheer light pink saree had a sleeveless blouse with a plunging neckline. The saree also tastefully gave a glimpse of a thin gold chain that she wore to keep her accessories to the minimal. Talking about Priyanka Chopra’s hairstyle for the event, it was a simple wavy updo with little flowers on it. Overall, her ethnic Indian look caught quite some eyeballs in a wedding that featured predominantly Western styles.

These past looks in just one year are proof that Priyanka Chopra’s style game in on point and full of surprises as the ensembles kept their Indian fashion influences intact in most unique ways.
